Jason Hull, Principal

Jason manages business development and business processes. A graduate of the United States Military Academy with an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business, Jason draws upon his extensive military and business experience to solve problems. As a tank platoon leader and a tank company executive officer during his two tours of duty in Bosnia, Jason served in multiple leadership positions in the Army. After graduate school, Jason served as a director of analysis for Capital One, managing call center forecasting, technology, and agent performance.

Jim Nist, Senior Developer

Jim has over 17 years of experience as a manager and individual contributor. His experience ranges from process control software for one of the first commercial applications of RF Tag technology at Matson Navigation to developing the first version of Real Rhapsody, the digital media jukebox that has become an industry leader. Other industry experience includes Litigation Support, B2B Exchange, Venture Capital Research, and Software Audit/Tracking. Jim helped several startup companies build their software team and IT infrastructure and brings a unique talent and vision for building bridges between business goals, technology, and people. Jim holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Fine Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Eric Pugh, Principal

Fascinated by the “craft” of software development, Eric has been heavily involved in the open source world as a developer, committer, and user for the past 5 years. He is a member of the Apache Software Foundation and a committer on many projects including DBUnit, Maven, and Jakarta Commons. In biotech, financial services and defense IT, he has helped European and American companies develop coherent strategies for embracing open source software. As a speaker at conferences including ApacheCon and the O’Reilly Open Source Convention, he has emphasized the advantages of Agile practices in software development.

Arin Sime, Senior Developer

Arin has worked with a wide variety of clients, including online retailers, large commercial and government applications, and small startup companies. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and after a couple of years of designing circuit boards, joined Value America in 1999 and has been developing internet-related software ever since. As a Software Architect at Musictoday, he led development teams that designed applications for fanclubs and ticketing applications, including leading their first .NET project. Prior to joining OSC, he founded Donor Town Square, a company providing online fundraising tools for political candidates and charities, and also started his own software consultancy. Arin’s love of software development is driven by the pleasure of helping clients turn their product and application ideas into reality.

Scott Stults, Principal

Scott began his career by founding an ISP in his hometown of Elkhart, Indiana. In the ten years since then, he has gained a wealth of IT experience ranging from start-ups (Topik Solutions, ReturnBuy and ValueAmerica) to Fortune 100 companies (IBM, K-Mart and Ford). His critical thinking and scientific approach has ensured the measurable success of a wide variety of projects. At Topik Solutions, Scott was the Director of IT Operations and created its resource measurement, monitoring, and disaster recovery systems. At ReturnBuy, Scott’s primary focus was on integrating ERP with eBay and ReturnBuy’s online store. His fraud prevention system saved an estimated $1.5M in its first month alone. At ValueAmerica, Scott led EDI and collaborative filtering projects, and he participated in integrating SAP and Siebel.

Riley O’Brien Wolff, Business Development Executive

Riley has worked in business development for the Information Technology sector throughout her career. In her years with Microsoft both in Australia and the US, she had the pleasure of working with a variety of customers, from retailers to distribution partners to OEMs and end users. After earning her MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, Riley was a Marketing Director with the Corporate Executive Board’s IT Practice, where she worked daily with CIOs and their direct reports to bring best-in-class practices to their firms.
